The fine print, in plain English
Terms & Conditions
These terms explain how our holiday lighting service works, what you can expect from us, and what we ask in return. We keep it fair and straightforward.
Effective date: 2026. These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") apply to holiday lighting services provided by DAB Christmas Lights ("we," "us," or "our"), the off-season arm of DAB Pressure Washing, serving Champaign County, Illinois. By requesting a quote or booking service with us, you agree to these Terms. A written quote or service agreement we provide for your specific project, along with any payment terms stated in it, works together with this page.
Scope of service
We provide full-service holiday lighting on a rental basis. That means we supply the commercial-grade bulbs, strands, clips, and related materials, cut and fit them to your property, install them, maintain them through the season, take them down after the holidays, and store them off site for the next year. The lighting materials remain our property at all times. You are renting a finished, professionally installed display, not buying the lights. You do not own and do not store any of the materials.
Quotes and scheduling
Quotes are free and based on the information and access you provide. A quote is an estimate for the scope described in it. If the scope changes once we are on site, for example additional rooflines, trees, or features, we will discuss any change before doing the extra work. Installation is scheduled by appointment, typically from October through early December, and dates fill quickly. Booking early helps us reserve your preferred timing and design.
Payment terms
Payment terms, deposits, and the total price for your project are set out in your written quote or service agreement. Unless we agree otherwise in writing, payment is due as stated there. We do not list fixed prices on this website because every property is different. If an invoice goes unpaid, we may pause service, including maintenance, until the balance is brought current.
Property access
To install, maintain, and remove your lighting, our crew needs safe and reasonable access to your property, including rooflines, outdoor outlets, and the areas to be lit. Please let us know about pets, alarms, fragile landscaping, solar panels, or anything else we should be aware of. You are responsible for making sure the areas we work in are accessible on the scheduled day. If we cannot access the property as planned, we may need to reschedule.
Weather and conditions
Central Illinois winters bring cold, wind, ice, and snow. For the safety of our crew, we may delay or reschedule installation, maintenance, or takedown during severe weather or unsafe conditions. We will keep you informed and get back on schedule as soon as it is safe. Outdoor lighting also depends on a working power source at your property.
Cancellation
If you need to cancel or reschedule, please contact us as early as you can. If you cancel after we have ordered or cut custom materials for your property or have already begun work, certain costs may apply as described in your quote or agreement. We will always try to be fair and reasonable about timing changes.
Warranty and maintenance during the season
We stand behind our installs. If a strand sags, a connection comes loose, or a bulb goes dark during the normal holiday season, contact us and we will return to repair it at no extra charge as part of your service. This maintenance covers normal performance of the lighting we installed. It does not cover damage caused by storms beyond reasonable expectations, third parties, animals, vandalism, power problems at your property, or changes you or others make to the installation.
Liability and insurance
We are fully insured and our crew works carefully and safely. To the fullest extent allowed by law, our responsibility for any claim relating to our service is limited to the amount you paid us for that service. We are not liable for indirect or incidental losses, or for issues outside our reasonable control such as severe weather, power outages, or pre-existing conditions of your property or wiring. Nothing in these Terms limits any rights you have that cannot be limited under Illinois law.
Governing law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute relating to our service will be handled in the courts located in or serving Champaign County, Illinois.
Changes to these Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The version posted on this page at the time you book applies to your service. We will post any updates here with a new effective date.
